About LaneDiff
LaneDiff started as a question: why do we spend 60 seconds in the loading screen doing nothing? Every ranked game begins with a critical window of time that most players waste. We built a tool to change that. Built out of frustration with the standard loading screen experience, we wanted something that gave us the edge without the clutter of browser extensions, overlays, or desktop apps.
We wanted something that just works in any browser, instantly. No download. No install. No permissions. The core insight that drove us was simple: behaviour repeats, and it is measurable. A player who invaded the enemy jungle last game is likely to do it again; a player who has lost their last four is a player whose last four games we can count. LaneDiff was built for players who want to walk into lane already knowing what the other nine people did in their most recent games — not what we imagine they are feeling.
Why No Extension?
Most scouting tools ask you to install something. An extension, an overlay, a desktop app, each one a new thing to update, maintain, and worry about after every patch. LaneDiff runs entirely in your browser. No install. No extension. No elevated permissions on your PC.
You open lanediff.com, type a name, and that's it. It works on any device, any OS, and any browser. The tool that works fastest wins, and a browser tab opens faster than any app. If you're looking for a league of legends scouting tool no download required, or a lol opponent tracker browser based experience, you're in the right place.
What Makes Us Different
1. Behavioral patterns, not career averages
We analyze what a player did in their last game, not what they've done across 500 games. A Diamond player on a losing run is less dangerous than a Gold player on a winning one. Recent form tells the truth.
2. No install friction
Every competitor requires something. An extension. An app. A login before you even see data. LaneDiff requires nothing except a browser tab and zero no extension required friction.
3. Built for the loading screen
Not for post-game analysis. Not for champion research. Specifically designed to be fast enough to use as a league of legends loading screen tool in the 60-90 seconds before the first minion spawns.
Our Vision / Roadmap
We're just getting started. The current version analyzes behavioral patterns, economic trajectories, and spatial kill data. There is more in the pipeline than there is on the page.
The goal has always been the same: give every player access to the kind of pre-game intel that used to require hours of VOD review. Automated. Instant. Free to try.
Official Riot Games API: Full Compliance
We built LaneDiff on top of the Official Riot Games API, the same data Riot makes publicly available to all developers. We don't scrape, we don't intercept game data, and we never access anything beyond what Riot explicitly provides through their authorized endpoints.
Your account is safe. We never ask for your password, your login, or any account credentials. We just need your Summoner Name.
- ✓All data comes directly from Riot's public API
- ✓We respect all rate limits and caching policies
- ✓Zero access to your login or private credentials
- ✓LaneDiff will never put your account at risk

Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
LaneDiff is run by the people you can reach at support@lanediff.com. This is what we hold, why, for how long, and how to get rid of it.
Scanning without an account
- The Riot ID you search. It is sent to Riot Games' API to find the game, and the result is cached on our servers for minutes to a few hours so the next person scanning the same game does not cost Riot a second request. It is not tied to you.
- Your IP address. Kept for the length of a rate-limit window so one visitor cannot use up the Riot budget for everyone, and hashed to decide which of two versions of a feature you see. Not stored beyond that.
- In your browser only: your recent searches (24 hours) and your theme. They never leave your device.
With an account
Signing in with Discord gives us your Discord id, username, avatar and email address, and nothing you post on Discord. From then on we also store:
- The Riot accounts you link, with the identifier Riot uses for them, and how they were verified.
- Your settings: default region, what a scan shows, what the Discord bot says.
- Every scan you run while signed in: which game, what the analysis claimed, and how the game went. This is what the “Recent matches” list and your scouting record are made of.
- The games you played that anyone scanned. A scanned game is one record shared by the ten people in it, keyed by Riot's identifiers, and it is shown only to players who have verified a Riot account that was in that game.
- Product events tied to your account (a scan started, a result viewed), so we can tell whether the loop works.
- Whether you asked to be emailed when the Discord bot launches. Only if you ticked the box; every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and unticking the box on your profile has the same effect.
Cookies, analytics, errors
- Cookies: only the ones that keep you signed in. Nothing for advertising, nothing that follows you to other sites, so there is no cookie banner to click.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or a cross-site identifier. There is no session replay: nothing records what you type or where your mouse goes.
- Errors: when something breaks, a report goes to Sentry with the request and the stack trace, after sign-in cookies, authorisation headers and API keys have been stripped from it.
- Fonts are served from our own site, not from Google, so a page view here does not tell Google about you.
Who processes it for us
Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (database and sign-in), Upstash (the cache), Sentry (error reports), Riot Games (the game data), and Discord (sign-in). Champion artwork loads from Riot's Data Dragon CDN. Each acts on our instructions under its own data processing terms. We do not sell data, and nobody else gets it.
How long, and how to delete it
Cached game data expires on its own within hours. Account data stays until you delete the account, which you can do from the bottom of your profile: it removes your profile, your Discord identity, your linked Riot accounts, your saved scans and your settings, with no waiting period. The shared record of a game you were in stays, because it belongs to the ten people who played it and does not name you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by email or through the profile page. If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. We rely on our legitimate interest in running the service for the scanning data, and on your consent for the launch email.
Children
LaneDiff is for people aged 13 and over, and an account is created only after confirming that. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Terms of Service
Last updated 30 September 2026
By using LaneDiff you agree to these terms. The service reads publicly available League of Legends data and turns it into a scouting report; it is a tool for reading a game, not a promise about how it will go.
Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and you must be allowed to use Discord and League of Legends under their own terms. One person, one account.
Acceptable use
Use the reports to play better. Do not use them to harass, stalk or dox anyone, to cheat, or in any way that breaks Riot Games' Terms of Service. Do not scrape the site, hammer the API, or resell what it returns. Do not link a Riot account that is not yours. We may suspend or delete an account that does any of this.
Use of data
All game data comes through the official Riot Games API and is presented as is. Ranks, win rates and every read on a player are estimates from a sample, marked as such on the page, and can be wrong. We are not liable for a game lost on the strength of them.
Copyright and takedowns
LaneDiff hosts no content uploaded by its users. Champion names and artwork are Riot Games' property, used under Riot's Legal Jibber Jabber policy. If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, email support@lanediff.com with the page and the work concerned.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms; the date at the top says when we last did. Questions go to support@lanediff.com.
