How does LaneDiff calculate win probability?

LaneDiff estimates win probability from each player's recent form, meaning winrate, gold per minute, KDA and CS per minute across their latest ranked games, combined with how each player's rank compares to the rest of the lobby. A player queuing well above the lobby's average rank moves the estimate more than any single statistic. It is a form-and-rank model, not a prediction of the outcome.

Can I see if my LoL opponent is a smurf?

Yes. LaneDiff compares each player's CS per minute, gold per minute, KDA and kill participation against what is normal for their rank and role. A player clearing several of those benchmarks by a wide margin is flagged as a likely smurf, or as peaking if they are already at the top of the ladder.

Can I see if a LoL player is on a losing streak?

Yes. LaneDiff reads each player's recent ranked results and shows a run of consecutive losses, with the number of games it was drawn from. It reports what was measured — four losses in a row across their last five games — and does not claim to know anybody's state of mind.

Lane matchup analysis compares two champions in a specific lane to determine who has the statistical advantage. LaneDiff goes further by factoring in each player's personal champion mastery, recent form, and historical win rates to provide real-time lane opponent scouting.
